Ready to build a loyal community? Five ways to do it quickly

Ready to build a loyal community_ Five ways to do it quickly

When I started Thrive Lounge five years ago, I didn’t intend to have a website, books, courses, or conferences.

In the beginning, I just wanted a community that would walk alongside me on the journey of purposeful living.

Over the years, I honed my message and as I grew stronger, so did my audience. Thrive Lounge now serves over 150K women per year through vision board tutorials, paid programs, and live events.

In this post, I’ll walk you through five ways you can build a large women’s community of your own.

Why should you build a community?

Your community will happily pay for offers.

When you invest in a community for the long term and constantly provide them with content, support and love they begin to know who you are (and not just in the internet guru kind of way).

When you serve an audience with free content, they’ll happily jump into your paid programs because you’ve prioritized offering them value first.

They will grow your audience for you.

What do you do when you get a really good guide or video that you believe will help a friend? You SHARE it!

The same will happen for you when you serve your audience with high-quality content and service over time. You’ll notice that more people find you and say “I heard about you from a friend.”

They will get the best results and provide you with testimonials.

Your strongest community members will very often be your best students. They’re the people who will follow what you say step by step. Because they’ve followed your roadmap, your community members will often get the best results (and happily provide you with testimonials).

How To Build A Community for Your Visions Board Business

Start with your why.

Serving an audience for the long haul is not for the faint of heart. It requires that you wake up excited to share your knowledge with them most days. That will be hard to do if you don’t have a distinct reason “why” you serve them.

Consistency.

Building an audience comes from consistent action over time. Think about the people you love to follow. Do they post once in a blue moon? Probably not.

If you want an audience to commit to you, you must first commit to showing up for them.

Learning about your audience.

Have you ever gotten advice from someone who really doesn’t know you? It’s annoying, right? They make bad assumptions and tell stories that you can’t identify with. Take the time to learn about what your audience needs and wants from you and provide the support they need.

Creating the content that serves your audience’s needs right now.

When you listen to your audience, you will learn something very special: exactly what they need. If your audience tells you what goals they’re setting and what challenges they’re struggling with, then create something that will help them get there faster.

Cherish your audience

No one has to follow you. The people in your audience are there only because they choose to be. They choose to listen to your messages, open your emails and “like” your social media posts. Don’t take these people for granted. You can not grow your message and build your community without each of them.

There is someone out there waiting for someone who looks like you or communicates in the way you do to make a transformation. Your community will come together, over time, based on your ability to share your powerful message with them and guide them to their version of success.

In the comments, share one strategy you’ll use to cultivate your community.
